What did you pay for yours mate and where from?

I have just saved a couple of hundred pounds on my defi's (Thanks Martyn ) so I reckon I might as well get the best turbo I can
One of the members of my drag series sold it to me for £800 with 7000 miles on it, looks brand new

Just a quick on fellas

I have found the Turbo and found the price GULP!

But it's the wisest choice from the sound of it.

What size Intake will I need? 58mm or 76mm? There are two options.

58mm is standard and will not need a new turbo inlet pipe or go for the 76mm one and will need a new pipe for it . Mark can sort you one and it is surprizing what a differents it makes .
You will need to cut part of the 6 speed off when fitting the turbo .

That's interesting mate. How does that compare to the MD 321T?

The fact it's RCM would generally speak for itself, I will have a quick look on RCM for some more info.

Thanks for the find, really appreciated

That was my only thought with that one. 10,000 miles 2 owners?

With the fitting kit, the new RCM 400 Hybrid comes in the same cost as the MD321. So pretty much what name floats your boat more.

The MD321T has had too many good things said about it to ignore in my book.

You even need to trim it with 20Gs if your ever going to change gearbox's or its turbo off even for that, bigger turbo means less space

Update!

I am going through the motions of talking to Mark at Lateral to get everything sorted on the MD321T. Just to clear a couple of things up.

Defi's are paid for and on their way too.

Man this is getting expensive!

Martyn, Yes I did thanks. £420.00 for 3 brand new gauges and the controller! Happy days, thanks for that mate.

Turbo is ordered too. Got the ceramic coating too. Heres the e-mail from Mark @ Lateral.

Steve,

I would supply the MD321T in a 58mm for your car, because it fits the best, and works really well.

The fitting kit comes with everything, apart from an oil drain pipe, but you would use the pipe from your old turbo. The bolt holes on the original pipe just need opening out, to accommodate the larger bolts, and slightly wider hole spacing. All the gaskets, studs, and oil feed line are supplied.

With regard to the ceramic coating, well it works very well at keeping the under bonnet temps reduced, and I would recommend it. It's normally a £145.00 + vat option, but I have a special offer at the moment, where I'm orrering it free of charge, until I run out of the special offer exhaust housings.
Regards,

Mark.

I would be very happy.

But I will have the obvious limiting factor of the Top Mount. So around 400 - 410 bhp will do very nicely for me. Maybe if I could get James' figures but the other way round

Right then Guys and Gals.

A quick update.

I am off to Vince on Friday with a bit of luck, to square up his side of the shopping list. Cams and pulleys/injectors/studs/gaskets/forged pistons etc, all from RCM

Vince has been talking to RCM throughout and they have been really helpful (and no doubt not cheap) but thats exactly what we agreed to do.

All of the bits I was getting are now here too. Turbo / Defis' / Defi Controller and pod / dump valve.

So, i'll take the camera with me and get some pics and post them with another update then.

In the meantime, I am available at Crowborough Station, where for £25.00 I can be your heavyweight Biatch!

Gotta pay for it somehow
