Default What am I supposed to do?!

Had my car on ebay twice now, starting at £2900 and £2500... advertised on pistonheads and autotrader.... still no luck! Haven't even had anyone come to look at it. I'm positive that as soon as someone looks at it they'll drive it away.

Don't want to break it as it's too good and I don't have the time and I refuse to take tuppence for it. Do you think the market will pick up at all? I'm tempted to stick it in a garage covered until I can afford to insure and modify it more, but realistically I want to be getting myself a hawkeye. Problem is when you leave cars sitting they tend to deteriorate.

Very frustrating!

Dave

Problem is p/xing it will probably result in getting sod all so I may as well sell it now and save garaging it as I'm not gonna be getting anything interesting till the start of next year. Just running round in my sh***y clio for the next few months.

Dave
Its so hard to sell a classic now, there are so many for sale, i mean hundreds of them, and an awful lot of cheap piles of poo, but unfortuately thats what people are buying.
Young nieve buyers with small bugets.
I have had mine for 9 years,i am thinking 9 more years and it will be starting to get more collectable.
I think about the cossies, rs turbos, mk2 mexico's etc that i have owned they now command great money.
Your best bet is to keep searching all the subaru forums and putting the word out its for sale, as you will get a buyer that apreciates the car for what it is and understand why its not like all the other cheap heaps out there.
Mine is mint, prob one of the cleanest of its age around, yet its book value is as little as 2k, Yeah right , i would sooner have it crushed and use it as a coffee table.

Good luck and dont give up mate

Cheers worzel, much appreciated.

I wouldn't describe mine as mint, if I was to keep it it would be there very shortly though! It's very disheartening when you've dropped the price again and again on a car you've put time, effort and tonnes of money in to! I thought I would have my hand ripped off at 3k and I've had it up at under that!

I know what you mean about the coffee table hence considering sticking it in a garage! Pull it out in a few years and having her stripped and rebuilt.
