Nah, quarter at best...

I was very particular with my words. I referred to the one in this post only.

Some bugs look good.

Plenty of people think the Forester is ugly... not me though.

The import bugs are great ! Built very well but you would really want a fresh import , what ever you buy get it fully under sealed for your winters if it's a daily

I am coming up to seven years of ownership. Way longer than anything else I've ever had. Such a good car.

There's a Scandinavian beasty with my name on it at a local garage if you fancy one in Urban Metallic Grey, Scotty.

It'll save me from myself as I'm trying to convince myself to have both.

Don't count out the twinscroll legacies! My legacy estate has far more room than the forester had as the chassis is longer where as the foresters are based on the impreza floor pan. Yes the foresters have a higher roof bit in terms of usable volume the Legacy beats it hands down. Also the build of the legacies is better with more refined materials and greater sound deadening. The 5 speed auto will take up to 400bhp if the valve is upgraded and the manuals are 6 speed from the 2006 facelift onwards.
If I had the money I'd be swapping to this.....

The S402 estate is just about the best looking car Subaru has ever made in my opinion.

I wish I could get a low mileage one in the UK without the hassle of importing.

They're brilliant cars.

When you get to looking, if you want to ask anything or see if I know the car (I'm a proper nerd and know quite a few of the cars and owners) then feel free to drop me a line.

Scotty, do you use Facebook?

There's a chap in the Forester Owners Club UK group with a black FSTi that he'll be selling soon. Some div bashed his bumper, which he's replacing, then it'll be up for sale... the good news is its taking ages as the parts are coming from Japan.

Might work for you, might not, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

He seems like a decent chap as he posts quite regularly, so hopefully he'll be a genuine seller.

Best of luck.

I do, but it's getting to the stage that I can't. I do too many miles a year to keep using it as my only car and I don't really have the room to keep it as a weekend car, so I'm increasingly coming around to the idea of selling.

It's done 103k miles now, so that might put you off. Depends how many miles you do a year.
