Default MPH Indicator

Amazingly their is no way in my new STi to change any of the displays from KPH to MPH. In the Renault Captur its a 15 sec operation. So I'am looking at some sort of MPH indicator, cheap sat nav unit or cheap HUD unit. Anybody got any suggestions or experiences? Thanks.

I think using a Sat-Nav is about as accurate as you can get and of course you have the added benefit of all the other things a good sat-nav can do, no installation to worry about either.

I have never looked in to a HUD unit, that would be pretty cool and quite discreet too I'd imagine.

GPS Speedo apps are available for android phones, assume there's something similar for those poor soles that have iphones, all you'd need is some kind of mount.

A friend of mine has a little Road Pilot GPS speed display that he uses line a HUD, as it sits in his dash/cowling.

I'll see if I can find a link as it's quite a neat little device and can be wired in.

I have a Road Angel Gem... Works as a speedo as well as giving gatso, mobile camera, average speed, black spot, congestion charge zone warnings etc. Does require a subscription though (but is probably also illegal in France!!)

Yes Scooby Si, very illegal in France, if found in car, even if not being used, it will be confiscated and you will get a £1,000 fine. Thanks Red Baron, downloaded an app called digiHUD, works great.
