Driving School Shoot
I was doing a shoot for a driving school this morning, and tring out a new bit of kit to get the "on the move shots" Buggest problem was having to fix to the rear screen as all the bumpers are curved.
Anyhow, I am arranging to do the shoot again as there are some errors, ones you only see when on screen. But they are really easy to rectify and I will nail it next time. The moving shots will be much better on an overcast day for many reasons too. Below are a couple of pics (only had time to do 2 for his website, as I am out for the day) the top one is of the moving shot, not perfect by any means, but you will get the idea. Second one is just a static shot. I will be getting the couple of bits I need to do the job properly, then it's time for some pukka scooby shots. Might even squeeze an Evo in there Nige |

Will do mate.
I pretty much know what I need to do to rectify it, but tips are always more than welcome. It was the first time I had even unwrapped the boom arm, so pretty much done on the fly That'll teach me |

Most do it with slow shutter and just move the car a few metres between
Theres some funny shots with them looking like there racing there cars by running by the side

These were only one second exposures at walking pace. Too bright today for any more and that was with a ND8 Filter to block the sun out.
It needs to be an overcast / cloudy day, or low light really, I also need a Hoya circular ND8 as the light bounced behind the Cokin one I was using and it gave reflections of the lens! It was always about trial and error a bit today. Looking forward to the next session doing this as I reckon it will work an absolute treat. |
