Default MY99/00 ECU Pin-out & Apexi Fitting

The following images provide the Pin-Out for the 3-Connector MY99/00 ECU for the Subaru Impreza WRX/STI/UK

Also provided is information regarding wire swapping for fitment of the Apexi PFC into a MY99/00 Impreza Turbo UK model (Not required if fitting the Apexi into a Jap WRX or STi).

To perform this modification you will need to :

Swap B136 Pin 5 with B136 Pin 6 (Swaps the Cam & Crank Signals)
On the MY99/00 it is not necessary to move the Fuel Pump Wire

The numbers indicated with a * on the Pin-Out indicate the 'Pin Numbers' in conjunction with the 'Notes' at the bottom of the diagram

bit confused as table says swap b136 pin 5 and 6 round.

picture says swap grey connector b135 pin 5 and 6 around.

I'm going to go with blue connector b136 as seeing as that is mentioned twice

Should be blue. Error on my Red mark up above.
You'll probably find the grey doesn't use these pins.

Is it running ?
You may need to force the apexi back to default if it were running bigger injectors.

no not running yet,

yeah went in to ETC and then initialise i think it was, which i believe is back to default, at this point i definitly heard the fuel pump prime next time i cranked it, but no start.

wondering if one of the trigger wires is damaged, i get a rpm reading on commander when cranking, but i am not sure what sensor it is getting it from.

I assume you have swapped back to the OE ECU refitted the crank/cam in the correct orientation and all is well.

If you don't have any joy I can always fit your Apexi in mine to check it works.
I may aswell flash my map into it while there too, if it runs.

Just to resurrect an old thread, can confirm its pin 5 and 6 (red and white wires on a UK 99 car) on the blue connector and the pin out is shown from the face of the connector and not the ECU.

Yep, it's the one Si had, fired up fine which was a good sign, need to give it a service and change the centre pipe before mapping though.
