Default Bulbs behind heater dials...

Morning all,

probably a simple one (I hope) - anyone know what type of bulbs are behind the heater dials in a 2002 Bug?

Two of mine have blown and Id rather only pull the console out once (to remove and replace) rather than once to remove, then again to replace as the chances of me breaking something doing it twice are multiplied greatly! ha ha

Cheers for any help.

Ryan

If I remember right they are bulbs in a plastic holder that twist in and out of place. They are quite hard to get hold of, not the sort of thing readily available in halfords, they also have little green jackets over them that give that green light, I have seen such bulbs but again they don't come in the plastic screw in format...

For future reference, I think part 3 is what you're after. Assuming so, you can get the part number here

Just noticed yours is a Prodrive, so may actually have this control...

If so, part 1 (same part number!).
