Default Exhaust help please

Hello all I think this is the right section... I just purchased a full exhaust sytem for my blob eye wrx and that is a turbo back. It definatly has a lot more rumble but it's still a lot of engine noise as apposed to exhaust noise if that makes sense?

Now the back box that come with it is rather large but has a really small bore, would that affect it? What can I do to make it louder? Centre pipe has two tiny resonators on it with looked empty.

Please help..... More Subaru noise needed

It all depends which exhaust you have. For example a vortex or blitz are louder than a prodrive etc. It also depends of you still have cat(s) in place and a resonated section.

If you want more noise firstly remove resonated section (pipe that meets the back box) and replace it with a straight through pipe and see what you think. If it's still not loud enough then remove the second cat, though it would be wise to get the map checked, and for even more noise and a performance gain, then remove the cat in the downpipe. If you do this then you'll definitely need a remap.

As an example a full decat with a Hayward and Scott system sounds really nice, but a full decat with a blitz will make your ears bleed! Depends what you want.

Yeah I have completely decated so it's a turbo back system, already got it booked in for a remap

So do you agree that it must just be the back box then?

If so you you know who is a supplier of the blitz exhaust? Or where is best to find one
