Default This will be a weird experience for me !

Yeh yeh yeh, many years ago so have a good laugh 

Nicky and I started dating and then I found out her sister Michelle was going out with the Pro Golfer Paul Wade!
After a few weeks an invitation to a dinner was going to be the first time I had met her posh parents !!!
That went down like a sack of 5hit as it was more than obvious that I was not to their approval LOL. Sure enough the following day when Nicky & I popped into to her flat there was an envelope on the door mat with “Nicola” written on it.
I never read it but it was basically a letter from Mike & Barbara (Nick’s parents) wondering why the hell their well educated daughter had fallen for such a thuggish looking rouge. I was assuming the tattoos , long hair, a caged 454 ci Pro Street 65 Chevy knocking out over 800 bhp and the “Alright Chav” attitude did not fit the bill of what they had lined up for their 2nd daughter .

Everything turned out really well, as we were engaged for 5 years and Mike & Barbara really did treat me like their own Son & all where an extremely close family. Three years after this photo was taken Nicky was murdered along with her husband in their cottage in Wadhurst. It was a massive event at the time making National news for the following week. I was nominated by her parents as the person who knew Nick more than anyone else resulting in a 6 hour interview with cops the following morning.
To this day, I have never seen Nicky’s parents. I phoned them many times after the murder but they had taken the phone off the hook. My Mum bumped into them several years ago and they mentioned how they regretted never having this particular photo as it was their favourite photo of her. They only briefly saw it on the evening of the Freemasons bash when we left.

I found the photo by fluke the other day. I’ve had it framed and this coming Saturday evening I will be driving to their house to give it to them.
It’s going to be really weird after 27 yrs of not seeing them.
