Default Wrx Sti turbo

Does anyone know if i would be able to fit a wrx-sti turbo (classic shape ofcourse) onto my uk classic terzo? Would it just bolt straight on? do i have to make any changes to the stock internals, also does anyone know which turbo it actually is, meanning what model it is and does anyone have one up for sale????

It depends what year Sti, Some have TD05's
Basically all classic turbos are interchangeable.

All Pre 96 Saloons come with TD05, but with 90 degree entry so would have to convert with a front entry compressor for the Terzo.
A very strong turbo though capable of 350BHP with supporting mods.

The 97-00 STi come with front entry VF Turbos ranging from the VF22, VF23, VF24, vF28 and VF29, all are a straight fit and are good for an easy 300BHP, upto 340BHP.

2001> STi come with VF30, 34 & 35 and are similar spec and again a straight fit.

Cheers guy's, so for a straight fit it is best to get a VF turbo rather then a TD05, what is with the different numbers on the end of the VF Turbos???? Which one would i be able to bolt on and have to make no changes to the stock internals?? Also is it a easy job to get a TD05 converted to a front entry compressor??

Cheers

I know someone with a nice VF35 from a 2004 STi. Just happens to be for sale.

FE compressors are available for about £50-£70.

Any of the VF's will fit without needing to change internals, but would need a remap to suite.

So you would need either an Apexi PFC or an ECUTEK remap on your standard ECU.
both will cost in the region of £600-£700 as a drive away solution.
