Default Suspension Refresh - 2003 STi

Hi all,

Not too long ago I had SuperPro bushes fitted thinking that it would stop the various clunking noises but to no avail. Turns out that my shocks are in need of replacing (they're standard).

I don't want rock hard suspension and won't be doing any track days, so I don't want or need top notch coilovers... I've been recommended Tein Street Basis coilovers and warned off BC BRs (do they have solid top mounts?). Does anyone have any experience of these? I believe they have just ride heigh adjustability which is fine, I'm not likely to fiddle with the setup once it's....setup.

I certainly don't want to replace the shocks with standard equipment as I think that if something has to be replaced it should be upgrade the same time.

What do you guys recommend for the road? After I've replace the springs/shocks I'll look at upgrading the front and rear ARBS. Car is a 2003 Impreza WRX STi Type UK saloon.

Budget is approx £800 - over kill for the road?

I've heard tein can be quite hard riding? Do you want coilovers per se? Just replace the shocks with kyb ones if not?
