Default volcanic eruption

Just looking at the news and they say with the jetstream as it is this ash in the air from the volcanic eruption could be around for weeks...

That could cause some serious disruptions to people flying.

Anybody supposed to be going away any time soon??

My parents came back from a month in Australia yesterday morning - landed at 5.30am, luckily Heathrow was still open at that point! Good job they weren't delayed in their stop-over in Hong Kong!

I've got family living in Edinburgh who are on holiday in Sicily! Problem they now have is they have to get home for Sunday [family commitments]! They've emailed me saying they've hired a car, the only one available which was an Alpha 159 1.9 JTD, is it gonna make it......

Anyways, the price of hire from Palermo airport to Edinburgh airport.........close to £3k

They've obviously got more money than sense...........nutters! They left at around midday and are hoping to be back by midnight tomorrow

Anyways, here's a nice wee piccy of the ash cloud taken by NASA's Terra Satelitte yesterday morning sometime.

Piccy

Colleage, stuck in Ottawa, customer stuck who can't get back to Italy, Uncle and new wife supposed to be going on Honeymoon to Turkey on Monday. Only good news was my brother who was on on one of only 4 flights to make it into Glasgow yesterday so he's back in time for the wedding. He did have the joys of a coach from Glasgow to Gatwick and then the drive to Hastings last night but at least he made it.
