Default Speedline Centre Caps

Has anyone else had problems with these disintegrating, I've lost 1 and had 3 fall apart while cleaning the wheels, all are less than a year old, wasn't too bad when they were only £2.50 each but I've just ordered 2 more and they've jumped to £6.50 each since April.

The little tabs that hold them in the centre of the wheel are falling off, could it perhaps be the wheel cleaner I'm using or do I just start putting a smear of clear silicone round them to hold them in place and still allow me to remove them when needed for tyre changes?

Bought from Subaru directly, think they may be old stock though as they are for ST2s on a 99 classic.
