Yep!

Just looked at the BBC weather page for Sevenoaks and sods law - no snow on Saturday but it returns on Sunday at midday

Will keep an eye on things but keep checking this thread folks - we might have to make a late call on yay or nay if its looking heavy.

Drove over to Eastbourne and back and all was fine. Roads were even pretty dry.
Worst bit was getting to the main road from here. Will be nice and ice'y tomorrow morning, but shouldn't be a problem for AWD.

No more snow in Mid-Sussex either, showing as due some tomorrow but its not meant to be more than 5cm at most - sure it'll be fine. Might be a bit slippy in places but its winter after all, just drive safely folks. If theres snow up there it might be a cool photo for next years calendar for December or something

No tables have been booked as i've been weather watching - but its a big pub and i'm sure they'll be room - especially as we're meeting from 12pm. See you all tomorrow.

Updated list as follows i think:

1. Steve & Claire (2 eating)
2. BIG"E" +1 (2 eating)
3. Hongkongfooi (1 eating)
4. SilverSurfer
5. Lucky ( 1 eating)
6. impreza27 (1 eating)
7. Simon & Jo (2 Eating)
8. Nige ( 1 Eating)
9. Majorscooby, beck & Liam ( 2 + little legs eating )
10. Greg (popping in)
11. Kartingsteve?

Now forecasting upto 10cm of snow in South East during today. Have to wait and see as the forecasting so far hasn't been too accurate.

Whats the general concensus then guys? I'll be getting there via M23/M25 so sure i won't have any problems, but then i'm not sure how the back roads will be.

Happy to still go but don't want people taking risks with their scoobs just for a pub lunch.

Not looking good here and it could be twice as bad the other side of The Ridge which is quite common.
Don't fancy getting stuck in amongst a load of idiots so seriously thinking about pushing this meet on a week. What do u reckon ?

i could do next week. I think we would probably get there its just the thought of being stuck behind some idiot who cant drive in the snow or being hit by one that is putting me off

Think it safer all round. The turnout isnt going to be a full one, and as steve said, main roads should be fine, but the back roads wont be. This lot has apparently come over from france so has hit here first but it is forecast to spread all day.

Probably the safest bet to postpone it now Scott - yesterdays forecast didn't have snow arriving until midday today so that was clearly wrong. Now showing as going to get worse (snow until at least 3pm). Sure most folks could make it fine, but as you say, its all the other plebs out on the road you can't trust. Lets call it now.

Meet postponed until next weekend - Sunday 27th January, 12pm onwards.

Sorry guys.

Same as Steve, it was clear this morn and then this lot landed. I'm fine driving in it, it's the other idiots spinning their wheels up trying to get about.

Good call. Up on Ashdown Forest and all the back roads are impassable for anything other than 4WD. Funny to watch though

Quite funny & not really relevant BUT. My neighbour within the last month has bought a Hyundai 4x4 thing. We spoke before he bought it as he was sick of his Previous car a Merc getting stuck every time it snowed. Anyway he bough this thing for £23k ,hid dad thought he would do the Same & bought an identicle Hyundai. There both stuck outside my house £46k worth. Father & son have both given up. Just for the hell of it I've jumped into Ali's Rav & driven straight past them both. Maybe a bit cruel but I just had a big grin across my face as the neighbour 's dad sold his Rav to get the now stuck Hyundai. I will give them another half hour then pull em out. Or I might just carry on being Mr Smug.
