Sorry this can't be an evening meet, as this has been arranged to coincide with some of us are dropping wheels off for refurb in Chatham for 12:00pm.
If anyone else has wheels for refurb we may get a group discount.

mmm.. got one that needs a refurb. Would love to get all 4 done in a different colour but cant afford that at the moment so getting one done in gold again would be good. Only problem being, I am working on that saturday so may need to get the wheel to someone if they are happy to drop it off for me??

Thankyou for you valued input....
How exactly is offering to arrange a group buy 'not' in the interest of SES member ?

There are currently 4 members showing interest in a wheel refurb, so it made sense that all were dropped off on the same day and to also coincide this with a meet to make the journey from various parts of the region more worthwhile.
The last pub meet in Kent was in Sevenoaks in January, so Kent are about due one.

FYI I am also in the process of trying to arrange a facility tour for SES, for the morning of the meet. I just need confirmation if there is a limit on numbers or if indeed this is possible.
The guy I'm dealing with and have dealt with in the past will not be available on this date, so this needs to be arranged with an alternative employee.

Regarding evening meets, the following meet at Barcombe Mill in July is an afternoon, evening and an overnight meet for those wanting to camp.

As you said in your own words its in Chatham your dropping the wheels off to... So yes you are doing it as its in Kent and its easier for you

Most people work Saturdays as shown by the amount of members who have said so...
So Saturday evening has got to be a better shout at this time of the year for the members or Sundays

Only meets I got to last year were the evening once as you keep on with Saturday day meets unless its attending another meet

Can't make this as back in France. Still waiting for the first Normandie meet, have some great venues. Have a new Contour Plus 2 camera and have made a video of one of my local drives. Will post it up it up if I can work out how.

If you need help getting it there I'm sure we could arrange it. Although I wouldn't do just the one as it will be difficult to match, plus the quality of the finish is likely to be better then the originals.
Sell a kidney and get all 4.
Standard price using one of their standard finishes is around £320 for a set of 4 inc fitting the tyres back on (I'd let them do it a they take super care).
I am trying to get a group discount, as soon as I get a reply I will post details.

James, you've made your opinion clear, so let that be the end of it please. July/August/Sept will all be evening meets. We also still try to have a meet on a Sunday every few months, but then there's problems with that too - people spending time with family instead, pubs not taking group bookings as they'll be rammed with people out for a Sunday roast (and a lot of pubs having a limited Sunday menu as a result). Can't please everyone eh.... now lets get the thread back on track please.

Price TBC, depends on numbers and what they can do for us. Definitely worth checking if you can leave a car there on stands though, i've never been there so no idea of space.
