Default Ipod to itunes??

My main computer decided to give up yesterday, so I cannot get to my itunes library. I have laptop aswell which has part of my library on it and of course, my ipod itself. So, ideally i want to transfer all of the music off of my ipod, onto my itunes account on the laptop. Anyone done this as apple certainly don't seem to want me to?

This same thing happened to me but luckily I store all my itunes on an external hard drive so it wasn't too hard to sort out, this may help.....

I know there are many pitfalls with this as unless all the music was bought through iTunes there is a chance the iPod could be wiped if connected to a new (empty) computer.

How badly has the old PC died, chances are the data on the HD is retrievable but don't pay PC Worldprices for recovery, all you need is a £5 lead!
