With regard to Payment of the hotel room.

It is possible to pay for your room via bank transfer before you leave the UK.

I have details of an account for this purpose, you can pay in sterling !

This eliminates carrying a lot of euros around and worrying about getting cash whilst in Germany.

Personally I will pay for my room via the bank transfer method, then at the time of checkout you will only have to pay for the meals and drinks consumed.

Those wishing to pay via bank transfer please PM. me for the account details..

I will also be requiring a non refundable deposit of £50 per room to be paid by 29/2/2016

I guarantee Louise will like the hotel better,

The comfort rooms are very nice for couples, as are the standard rooms.

Apart from a 'nominal' deposit which "E" will probably post up? You pay for the hotel on the morning we leave.......

You'll pay for your room at prices on the website and then for any meals and drinks you have during your stay..... you get a piece of paper that they mark your meals and drinks on....

The only thing to remember / be aware of is that Jackie will only take cash payments....... so make sure you keep some euro's to cover the bill.

The menu prices are also on the website so you can pretty much work out the cost if you pick your meal choices prior to leaving and stick to ordering them during the stay.......

Only other expense for previous years would be when (if) we eat out at the Pistenklause (hot stone place) in the years past, its been easier to just split the cost of the evening amongst the whole group....IIRC allow roughly 20-40euro for the night

Yep, we get a 'ticket' per person or per room (whatever suits) which then allows you to get anything from the bar without worrying about the money at the time. They just add a mark to the item you've had - and then settle up on the last morning. There's a cashpoint about 5 minutes up the road in Buchel if needed to get extra euro's out.

It leads to much comedy about who's had the most large beers during the trip etc.

I *think* the plan will be to eat at Jackie's twice at most - on the first night and maybe the last night in order to keep costs down. Pistenklause on Saturday night as usual, and either Pinocchio's or the pizza place at Breidscheid on the Sunday night? (both of which cheap)

Ian will confirm though

If we eat at Pinocchios again i reckon we should book a table for at least 2 or 3 seats more than we need, considering how tight we were for space last year. Need a big table to fit those massive pizzas on!

the standard rooms are perfectly fine for the stay if you want to save some money, the comforts are very nice in comparison but the standards have everything you need and at the end of the day, its just to lay your head down

The roads in Germany put ours to shame, Jackie' s is really nice, and the 'ring' is just awesome providing you take the advice from the SES vets. The cars in and around the area are petrol head heaven and you will be with a great bunch of people.............you will have a great time Ryan

Good work mate. I'll be paying for the room before we go I think, easier than faffing around with Euros from the cashpoint!

As much as I'd love to I have a few issues.

We've finally exchanged contracts on our new house and move end of Feb and work begins on the house which is turning into a bottomless pit, which in turn prevents me from getting a car at the moment. The initial plan was to go down with Paul, but he hasn't got his car either! It's a long walk lol!!

I am also away in Le Mans the week after (15th June) which is in Sarah's opinion a little to close!! So really it's just lousy timing

Sorry guys to let you down again. I would love to come but with no car to go in and other stuff it's not looking likely.
