Default Fuel damper valves

Hi all. I have not long swapped my bug for a hawk, and notice I have a knocking noise that can be heard in the passenger foot well. I think I may have traced it to the fuel damper on the feed line. Has anyone experienced an issue with these?

Thanks

Jason
