Default My turbo

Well had her a couple weeks now and bar a couple of problems i am very pleased .Fssh has a few miles 144k but it was the best i could get for 2k looked at a lot of others with lower miles but had all been messed about with and i wanted as near standard as possible.Have put some clear lens on,boost gauge, strut brace and may be a box back in the future, but after years driving classic cars it feels like a rocket so will not be uping the power for a while.
Heres the pic's:----

And this is what i was driving

Now being new to these things is 144k bad then it does have full Subaru history right up to date. When i was looking there were a couple that had 75-80k on them but were not half as nice and the motors sounded a lot rougher. It's a lot nicer to drive now i have replaced the maf and put a standard filter in along with doing the boost solenoid

Funny to see you on here Shane B was only talking about you today and that you had a scoob.

Good to see you on here, got ya email re : being banned from the 'other' site.
It a long storey as to why...well no actually it's really short......but I'll save it for now.

Needless to say it's one of he reason's this site came about......

Where do we start with your MY00.....hmm if you wanna pop round and take a look at my MY00 then it may give you a few idea's. It has done 100,000 less then yours though, and isn't 'quite' as clean as my old Series 1 Turbo.

P.S Do you know or have anything to do with the Hastings Pine Warehouse, as may of spotted the car on their 'home' drive.

Hi mate
Have nothing to do with the above and do you mean you spotted my car,it's has been round this area 'hc' is a Hastings number plate and it has been serviced by Culverwells in the past.
I will take you up on that offer.I take it you can give my ecu a new lease of life

Well it all seams to be coming together nicely Zero slam panel cover, headlight covers and number plates fitted and going tomorrow to pick up some st-2 wheels with near new p-zero's after some serious haggling got them for a steal They do need a little work but manly paint peel.So another 400 mile round trip for the car thats 1200 miles in less then 10 days.

On the to do list oil pressure gauge and dent magician can not live with the car park dings much longer.

Nice one Wez, best 17's for a Scoob IMHO.
Should be fairly easy to tidy too...so will they be done Silver or Anthracite ????
Get 4 prodrive logo off ebay to whack on a spoke and will look v.nice

Here's one of my old ones. The Prodrive logo needs to be the correct font for the period. The current one is a thinner font

When you collect the wheels make sure they have the metal inserts mounted where the wheel nuts fit. This allows you to use stndard Subaru wheelnuts.
If they havn't they are not Genuine Prodrive supplied items, but Speedline supplied.
If they do not have the inserts you will need to get a set of Speedline Nuts which have the correct flange/taper.

The wheels are the same, just Prodrive/Subaru ensured the inserts where fitted for us with Subaru wheelnuts.

see this link : http://bbs.scoobynet.com/general-techni ... where.html

Funny enough I posted on here too... Mike Woods actually works at Prodrive and is involved/was invlolved in such upgrades.

another : http://bbs.scoobynet.com/wheels-tyres-b ... -nuts.html

it sounds like you just need to either call speedline or try a 'regular' non subaru set of nuts.

when I had a gold set of ST-2's these did not have the insert and hence came with a new set of nuts to suite.

Thanks mate they have the metal inserts but as it says on the threads you have posted they only use the bottom half of the taper so give the appearance of not fitting.Sorry for the poor pic's,the wheels are better then i expected very little curbing and mostly paint peel the pic is of the worse one.

Update to daylight pic.I like the gold with the blue so think thats the colour they will stay

Went out to Culverwells Subaru today and round the bends at Whatlington it felt a lot more planted to the road.

I have not noticed any difference with the splitter and to be honest got it because it matches the rest of the trim and even's it up.
