Default Downtime this lunch time

Hi folks,

Apologies for the downtime today, we think the forum was offline for about 45 minutes.

This was due to a problem with the database servers at our hosts - there's no issues with SES itself. Hopefully we won't see any further issues but i'm aware that other websites/servers using the same hosts are also affected.

If we do experience any further problems, please be patient

Nothing to be worried about from our end mate, we're taking regular backups of everything just in case the hosts have a major failure.

We're not going anywhere

Sorry guys, more time down today. Hosts aren't covering themselves in glory at all at the moment.

I've been speaking with them and they've told me that another customer on the same platform as SES is flooding MySQL with connections, which is effectively causing a Denial of Service (DoS) impact on other customers like us.

I've told them to pull their finger out

Seems the hosts are having a few gremlins again today, forum was out for a short while earlier if you couldn't get on.
