Default Classic engine in bugeye?

Hi all,as per title a freind has a 51 bugeye with hgf,and is looking at a replacement engine rathger than fixing it as an easier option,he has sourced a low mileage closed deck ra engine and we want to know if it will install into the bugeye using the original ancillaries etc,or if there are likely to be any problems?

Only thing I can think of is the top radiator hose is different from memory?

Thanks in advance guys!

if its an CDB RA engine then it must be out of a 93/94 car and the simple answer is no it wont fit due to the inlet manifold spacing being totally different........

if you used just the short engine and bolted your heads on then that would basically work but in that case you may as well repair what you have

we have and can do a stepped adaptor to fit the new manifold to the old engine if required
