22b are awsome, and will sell in years to come for same price or more.
Depends what he wants it for though

I think he's gone for a RA-R but a type 25 would be my choice also.

Nige is still trying to turn me to the dark side. Lol
truth is I have looked at all sorts, it's been really doing my head in, the list started as 22B , type 25, RB 320,new spec c, audi rs4, M5, Evo 10 and even had a mad day where DB7 was a thought, soon put that little blip behind me and decided I wanted an exciting, very unique car, so with only 300 produced, and seeing as the cat is out of the bag, yes I have gone for the longest ever named scoob. Subaru impreza WRX STI SPEC TYPE RA-R. Roll on Germany next year

Here is another link:

With more info..

So basically its a WR1 with a brake up grade, and presumably lighter and a bigger ARB.

What turbo does it have?

Go for the yellow as it will look good parked next to WR1 blue.

Cheers, have seen the link, and i reckon in last 6 weeks just about every write up going, really wanted to be sure that i wanted one.
Ian, its actually quite diferent from WR1.
It has 2 oil coolers, lightweight glass, lightweight panels, zero sound deadening, Its far more like an improved spec C

Found this
So what’s so special about this final edition? Well, Subaru Technica International have raided their parts bin and thrown all of the best bits into the Spec-C Type RA-R. As the name suggests it contains the Spec-C kit, which includes lightweight boot, lightweight roof, lightweight windows, as well as additional oil coolers. On top of that they’ve also added STi suspension that sits 15mm lower than the standard Impreza, an underbody suspension brace from Yamaha, and a front lip spoiler that results in 30% less lift at speed.
The 2-litre flat four in the RA-R has been blueprinted and balanced, given an STi turbo intake and Spec-C twin-scroll turbo with larger compressor. This means power is up to 320bhp and torque is up to 318 lb-ft, but when remapped for UK fuel you can expect 345bhp and 330 lb-ft of torque

Have been reliably informed after mapping to expect aprox 360bhp, guessing that will bring 0 to 60 to under 4 seconds. Nice
