Default Major hold back

Hi I have a 51 plate wrx bug eye been running perfect but now has a major hold back through all gears . It's giving the feeling of a clutch slipping since this has happend the turbo whistle has got louder . Hope some one can point me in the right direction on what to check first .

if the turbo whistle has got louder, the engine is trying harder, which it wouldnt do if the clutch was slipping as engine load would be less. do engine revs sound the same as normal for any given road speed? I would guess something is binding. have you had any work done on the car recently ?

Yes revs stay the same . Only had a few bits done like fuel pump injectors and maf sensor . But yeah feels like I'm driving with my brakes on some said it could be my hks bov leaking or a split hose ???

Are the rear brakes ok? Mine seized up and had the same sort of Simptoms?

Coast down a hill see if car rolls ok , or jack it up and check if any brake binding .
If all ok , I have to say if your getting more turbo/ boost noise , could be slit hose, loose hose . Very difficult to say , as it could be many things .
Did it start directly after changing something

as above, if revs seem right at any given speed, it's not your clutch. either BOV leak or a pipe between turbo and manifold. maybe something was damaged or disturbed when the injectors or maf were changed ?

Dunno if I've solved the problem or not but seems ok . Was told to go fill up with v power and see how it runs . Well done nearly to tanks now and seem to pull its weight again. As I say I'm not sure but would fuel cause the problems .

if you put 95ron fuel in it, yeah that would hold it back but that wouldnt make your turbo whistle get louder. a louder turbo whistle means more air is going through it. what fuel was you using before and is it a JDM car with the OE ECU ?
