Default 12hrs to go!

And Duncan remaps my car - excited and nervous to see if the mods have actually helped and if so, to what benefit!

I will post up the results tomorrow!

That's about right for a full decat and filter on an STI, brothers made 331 with a similar spec.

I'd be happy with that, it will cost a lot more to get another 60bhp out of it.

Just ran through your thread of mods, no expert but although you'll have gained a little with the up pipe and headers you'll have probably lost a bit by going with a sports cat rather than full de-cat.

I shouldn't be too disappointed with that.

A 49bhp gain isn't to be sniffed at.

Boost tails off at the top which is quite common on the VF24/28/29/30/35 in it's various guises.
You have to drive the boost controller quite hard to stop them dropping off too far. It's a shame they don't have an adjustable actuator like the TD's which would help them hold a touch more.

I think Duncan has set mine to 1.2 bar max -

I'm prob just greedy - like I said it's a good improvement - but just hoped for a little more...

But I'm sure I will appreciate it soon enough - at least now I can drive it spiritedly

It's peaking at 1.4 and dropping to 1.2. Although out on the road it is likely to achieve more in 4th/5th/6th than it will in 3rd on the rollers (assuming Charlie still run in 3rd with Duncan, as he did with JGM)

3rd or 4th depends on gearing

Yeah ran in 3rd I think

Don't get me wrong - a gain is a gain - and it's much more drive able now...

Will start looking towards 800cc injectors and md321t turbo next year and see if I can get any higher...

Charlie was a good laugh as always - and Duncan was very professional

Also informed me my neutral position switch was knacked so I've emailed Alyn about a new one - then it's all good and on to planning the next mods

Hi c.j -

Thanks for that, is that like porting - I.e making the injectors have more capacity?

Do you know any companies that do it?

Are injectors and turbo the correct next step in your opinion?

Thanks for any advice as always

If you're going over 400
RCM induction, fmic, injectors and md321t or sc42

Hi bud,

How did your car perform?

Import car parts are selling them for £46 - genuine Subaru...

Or Alyn at AS performance

Run 329 bhp, Duncan said apart from the neutral switch messing around engine running strong so happy all in,
Was like driving another car home

That's a good price been looking around as well seen them around a similar price,
will check out as performance as well
Glade to find out it was just the switch backing out the vvt I was convinced there was a boosting and or fueling fault
So just a cheap fix really
