Default My new small camera

Just bought myself a new compact camera. Its nothing special, but it will do what i want it for.

http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/pro...ras-_-position

I had the lesser model with a Sony lense, but thought an upgrade was due. Bargain at half price i think

Now slate it

Hi Mate,

You should have paid the extra £20 and got the 350 as it has a LOT more features and is a far better camera, we have the 350 and it is awesome.

350 at Amazon, £149 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-DSCW350...2547145&sr=8-1

Review:-

Dig just a little into the features of the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W330 and you'll start to see all the corners cut to get the price down to less than $170. In comparison to Sony's $199.99 W350, the W330 has no optical image stabilization; the movie mode is VGA quality with no use of the optical zoom; there's no Sweep Panorama mode (or any panorama option actually); adult and child priority are removed from face detection options; there's no autofocus illuminator light; there's no manual white balance; no unsharp masking option in Playback; less internal memory; and lower-quality noise reduction. The lack of Sony's Bionz processing engine is partly responsible for the feature deficiencies.

See if you can cancel the order, as they are lying about the £259 original price tag, it was only £169 when it was first released, I only know this because we have just bought the 350 and I did a lot of research before i bought that one.
I am not knocking your choice i just hate it when websites put an over inflated price on a product to make it look like you are getting a bargain.

WRX_Paul, i was joking when i said slate it

Thanks for the info. It has been dispatched already. Will use it at the meet on sunday.

The 350 does sound very good value for money & a better one

If it isn't as good as i hope, i will send it back (got 28 days to send it back)

In all fairness, it's only got to last me a year, hope to buy something for around £400-£500 next summer.

I have an old school 35mm, but it's getting harder to find places to buy & develop the films

It has a full case with loads of extras and lenses.

It was going to be thrown into a skip by a customer, i asked if i could have it. Not bad for a freebie.

Works 100% with cracking photos

I bet it does. That was proper cutting edge at one time, it's scary how quickly things move on.

Had a bit of a result

The 350 from Amazon turned up friday morning, by the time i had opened the box, the one from comet arrived!!!

The woman i spoke to on the phone from comet cancelled the order and refunded the money.

Going to give it a week, if i hear nothing from them, looks like i will have both cameras
