We have unfortunately not had time to discuss the use of facebook for SES following your initial posting because two Admins are currently enjoying themselves at the ring (we will discuss things further once we have caught up later next week)

We had spoken previously about setting up a dedicated (official) SES page on Facebook and it was decided that it was unnecessary at that time. The SES forums give members plenty of areas to discuss things and all information regarding meets / events etc etc is available from the forums.

The use of another media can and often will result in confussion, with people posting things on one media only and therefore members possibly missing out!

We are able to moderate our forums to meet with certain legal requirements and to look after our members best interests, as best we can. Having to keep more than one media up to date and fully moderated would take up too much time

As a forum/club, we would obviously prefer members to use the main SES site

As previous post, I have deleted fan page , it was not intended to take away SES members but a place where all SES memebers on facebook can find each other rather then the thread I set up to get FB names to add each other.

On a smiliar note then, as FB is a large area of interest to most, can we have the option to add our facebook name / logins such like MSN , etc etc on our profiles

Thankyou for removing the facebook group I/ we will discuss the introduction of an SES facebook group in the not too distant future, however, following the pm's etc etc from members so far today, it would appear that most members are happy for things to remain within SES Forums and leave the social networking for personal accounts. Most members swap contact details etc etc at meets / events etc etc as they get to know people, however, for those who want to offer out there social networking details, I have added the ability to include social networking info to your profiles. MSN etc etc has always been there

Go to your USER CP / Your profile / Edit your details / Social networking info

SES Members Please Note:
Please only give contact details, if you are happy for members to contact you outside of SES. We are unable to monitor, Police or Moderate social networking sites outside of SES.

Although we have no control over outside sites, we do not want members harrassed / spammed etc etc from details obtained from information given within SES, as such we will monitor this new addition to the profile information and any members who have issues, thought to arrise from this new feature! Please do not hesitate to contact us We will help as best we are able

Many thanks.....

Good call.. Admin !!!!

On the note admin put, if you are giving out your facebook id or link, make sure you check you privacy settings and set them so they cant see your details unless you accept them.

Also to add, thanks for those who posted and accepted requests etc, its cool to have new friends

PMSL..... you beat me to it yer bugger

It's a place where everyone knows each others business.
A place that equals SN for bull5hit.
A modern social link that has split up more teenage couples than anything else on the planet.
A place responsible for organizing the largest riots the world has ever seen.
A screen that is analyzed by vast quantities of Police, Immigration Officers, Home & Foreign Offices and National Security Personnel.
A window to "update your status" to advise earth that you have just had a 5hit, eaten next doors cat, spent the morning blowing up tadpoles with a blow torch, drunk a pint of Subaru Milk, or that you have just taken a photo of Big E nude bathing in Brighton with 14 overweight widows on a trip from Wales.
