Default Yawn :-) My new car - Back in a scooby again.

Got me a new car again, very pleased with it an goes like stink as you would expect and more to come Great to be behind the wheel of a decent scoob again. Only critism so far is I forgot how short the gears were on the 6 speeder and I feel like I am constantly changing gear, and that's when I am just pootling around at 40mph let alone when you nail it. Antilag is a reall hoot, and I really must stop switching it on.

Got 2 or 3 pin dents that should get sorted at Gatwick and a few more stone chips at the front than i would have liked, but I really must stop being so paranoid about things like that.

Its doesn't have the torque of a 2.5, but its not laggy at all, and better than the wagon I had with the VF34, so very pleased in that department. It just has power all the way in every gear.

Spec as follows;

Engine
Simtek ECU with ALS & LC activated mapped by Martyn Jeffrey to an everyday safe 445bhp/410 lb/ft, and high 300's on stage 1 map - But The urge to remap this to the majic 500+ is strong as can see this being sorted before my trip to leman.
2.1 stroker kit from Alan Jeffrey, SCDB, full spec with Wiseco K1 H beam rods, Wiseco pistons, New 2.5 crank,
Cosworth shells
Cosworth Headgasket
Cosworth Sump Baffle Plate
ARP head bolts
RCM Oil pump
PE800cc injectors
3Bar Map sensor
Manifold riser kit
Turbo Technics S206 Turbo
RCM Ceramic Coated Headers
3" H&S Decat
3" H&S System
Custom piped Hybrid FMIC (Black crackle finish powder coat & Murray clips)
Red Samco Hoses
Custom 3" Stainless intake pipe
K & N filter with trumpet
Walbro 255 pump
Catch Can/Breather tank
AP Racing Clutch

Interior
Hawkeye Dash conversion (with nicer heater controls!)
DEFI Triple hood with Oil P, Oil T & Boost Gauges
DEFI Water temp gauge located in drivers side air vent. Air vent still works
DEFI Controller II
STACK Wideband gauge
Knock link LED's fitted into triple hood
Pioneer touch screen DVD player
JL Audio Front Components
Directed 10" sub
Vibe amp
STi Mats

Exterior/suspension
Prodrive PFF7 alloy wheels with Nearly new Conti Sport 3's
HT Autos Front Lip
Zun Sport Lower Grill (Black)
De Tango'd headlights with black surround
Black mudflaps
BC Designs Adjustable Coilovers
Full Geo setup by Carnetix

Its nuts ain't it, basically he is now doing a 110 mile commute due to change of job and house, so looking for a diesal, and thinking lalong the lines of a BMW 535. Personally I think he could be makinf a mistake in consideration:

He PX'd his E46 M3 for it, when it was more or less in standard form, then spent a fortune on it. He only kept the M3 for a few weeks as he found it boring. He modded the STI8 it to a twin scoll and 356bhp, then got the bug and kept going to the level it is now. I have a folder full of receipts and a couple from for Alan Jeffrey one for 6.5K, and another for 4K just for engine work alone all done within the last 12months.... Scary stuff.

p.s My apologies but just realised I neglected to PM you about the SUB. I owe you a pint.

Cheers its a buyers market so I doubt I could make on it, and if I thought I could it would be gone . But it was in the back of my mind when purchasing it, that I can't really loose much on this if I ever did decide to sell. Knowing how scatty I am with cars, its nice to keep my options open.

Its a clone of my old one to look at, and shed loads more power and toys inside, even down to the stereo nearly re-arranged my insides when I gave it some, and mind blowing considering its just some hi end component speakers, amp and sub.

Anyone came along with close to 11k I would always consider selling it As we all know, I never get that attached to a car no matter how good it is

You know me, buy high, sell low lol! fortunately nothing gained and nothing lost on this one, but as the old saying goes. "Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all". Its gone to a good home and destined for what I think a car of this nature deserves, and its going to be largely used a a track car.!

I'm either keeping the Saab now, or I've still got an itch for an S2000, or I might stick with cheap motoring and sell the saab and get a nice cheap late classic if the right one came along for the right price.
