Default Coilovers and Corner Weigthing
If you have ever thought or have fittedcoil overs your should really get them corner weight balanced.

I had an idea of what was mean't by this, but this youtube clip gives your more details on the technical complexities.

Basically it has put me off fitting coilovers.....very complicated and not something you can do yourself.
Trouble is regular performance McPherson struts are getting hard to find

Yes to get the best from them you should have them corner weighted.
But in my opinion for an everyday car on british roads are you really going to notice the difference? As long as the ride height and camber etc are set up i don't think you will have a problem. Because fuel load, passengers etc will alter the corner weights anyway once driving.

Now if your going to be doing lots of track days them yes get it weighted.

Very good point and to be honest how level are road cars anyway.
I know mine isn't spot as measured the levels before and after the eibachs went on. It wasn't level on either.

Just curious..but, shouldnt the corner weighting be done with the Driver in the car?? Its all very well doing it on a empty car, and getting it pefect, but what happens when you then put a 13 stone body on one side?

yes need the driver and also about 1/2 a tank of fuel. getting mine done soon so ill report back

We left the car there and went shopping when we had our coilovers fitted

Claire would have got board sitting in the corner weighting

This whole thing does back the earlier comment from Rich about only being needed if you track the car.

The weight will always be changing with fuel loads, pasengers x ? etc etc.

I had mine done and it does feel sorted, but it must be changing all the time with the variables.
