Just to repeat whats been written above really.

A fantastic weekend ( or week in Martyn, Mine & Laura's case), with a cracking bunch of people. Superb food, beer, weather and just a great laugh. As per the conversation with Jackie yesterday, we are already pencilled in for the same weekend next year, so happy days indeed.

We will get the Hotel AM Tiergartten Steakhouse booked up again, without a doubt. And go armed with something good to get on the wall.

I did have one last minute injury to the car though, while following Martyn out of Dover, something clattered under his car, then shot out and cracked my windscreen!

A brilliant long weekend

Great company and found it even more of a laugh than last years trip (was nice not having a hangover every day too ). Really good that everyone made it back under their own steam, even if there were some problems.

Much happier with the scoob on the ring now too, had some good laps. Looking forward to going back already.

Doh! Had the same last year, at least it hit the glass which is a relatively cheap and simple fix via insurance, would be a lot worse if it hit the bonnet and dented it.

As already said, all round fantastic week.
Thanks everyone for coming and making it such a quality time.
Met some new people and some serious scoobs, not fogetting the very tail happy monaro
Will post some vids and pics later, including my 2nd ever lap of the ring. Watched it many times, makes you reaalise that when you have no idea where your going, just how slow you take it
Have to say the scoob performed spot on this year.

Worzel
Thank fook the thing that flew out of the underside of my car never hit your bodywork as it was going like a bloomin bullit, it hit underside of my car 4 or 5 times.

1 I did two, as poor old scoob is getting a wee bit tired. Loved both laps. , Time, I have no idea, slow for sure though.
2. Breakages - Ok time to spill the beans, The Evo was blowing intercooler pipes off and ended up turbo less. My scoob wrecked front splitter, Worzels scoob snapped power steering belt, think thats it.
3. Yes, but need editing 1st
4. More laps in a newer scoob hopefully, appart from that, i wouldnt change a thing - well may be go out for longer
5. Nige and Clive got along just dandy, The Evo kept braking, so clive didnt get a chance to blow it away

I did two laps, after the 2nd my check engine warning light came on. (like i said on the other thread, was very paranoid after that, even though it didnt turn out to be major in the end).

I intend to have the car a little bit better than just standard next year and to learn the track a bit better and to .... not get so drunk next time

I did 4 laps again this year, will check times from the video clips. Could have done more for sure, got the bug a bit on the Sunday evening as the weather was lovely and the traffic on circuit wasn't bad at all (for me, my laps were busier on the Sunday at 8:30am!).

I completed 3 laps.

Lap 1
With Neil (a Ring veteran) which was very welcomed. He wasn't confusing and said just about enough at the right time. Probably more informative than the several laps I was going to do in a hired ring car.

Lap 2.
I am a busy member of The P1woc and we have a great member (middle aged German woman) who does own a scooby but not a P1. She flies over many times a year to our events & is a true inspiration to all of us.
I promised her a run up the strip at The Pod if she came over, and that happened. I then said to her I would take her for a lap of The Ring, so with a total of 11 hours driving she made it, and lap 2 was with P1 Mum ( as we call her)
She never said a word around the 13 miles, but her body movements made it quite obvious she was 5hitting herself bless her.
I took a bunch of bikes in the early part of the lap and never saw them again, so she had a good one

Lap 3
With my Hev (my wife).
With some parts of the track remembered I could give it some in certain parts and this was my best lap. Also knowing my wife is as nutty as I am helps
The car may look appealing but its honestly nothing to how well the thing drives. Our main aim was to keep the car as much a P1 as possible, so it looks fairly normal other than the brakes and f/m, but the blue bit hides much more
The new Toyo's held up better than I thought they would but my previous Hankook Evo V12' s would have provided better grip.

When I left the hotel early on Monday with Adrian, James and Gramps I pulled out the hotel car park and the car felt like a wobbling jelly??? I mean a REALLY bad severe wobble right through the car.
I was going to pull up but then built up speed to hear flicking noises in my wheel arches. Because I had driven back from the ring on hot tyres than had become cold overnight and the marbles and used rubber had "set" on the tyres. All was good after that.

I must say I have been in many convoys but you guys hold the crown for being the best to convoy with.
Well organised, a good understanding and a great crack.

Top guys and thanks for a great time !.

For some reason it didnt take to long even with my slow Evo. Might of been down to the good fun we were having. THANKS AGAIN GUY'S

Always a pleasure mate

We wouldn't leave you and your Lancer behind for the buzzards, no matter how slow you were

Although, saying that, if I heard correctly, it was you who was dictating the pace in that last part of the Gumball Rally through France

Nearly got a pull off the old bill. Didn't know if it was going to be about multi lane swapping me & E blocking or the E & Skullfudge sandwich! Now that would of just finished my weekend off! Or possibly getting a speeding ticket in a none turbocharged Evo.
