Default SES Visit a Vulcan - Fathers Day SUN 20th June

This year, do you wanna visit a Vulcan bomber on Fathers Day?

I have spoken to various committee members of SES about this, including Big E, and have now been able to confirm that Subaru Imprezas will be welcome at the "Wellesbourne Wings and Wheels" event this year, ie a club stand.

Wellesbourne is not far from Gaydon so it is a fair old trek, but having been to a members day event last year, I can say that the event will be well worth it.

More info on the preservation society and previous wings and wheels events can be found at www.xm655.com

This thread is to guage interest in a club outing.

Sounds like a plan and I know the area and the vulcan as it is parked next to the runway, we will come along, as it will be a good time to visit family and friends

As I understand it, there is no charge for the event, but I intend to ask for donations (as we usually do when visiting Vulcans with the Wagon Squadron).

We will hopefully get to pose with our cars in front of the Vulcan as well.

It's about time we got a list going for this really.

Are there number limitations on this Keith?

Knowing what I know at the moment, the list starts as follows:

1: Subarman
2: Chris
3: Worzel
4: 666 Subaru

Latest info - there is a small charge. This shows the order of the day.

Are you all still interested? Bear in mind this will not be cheap petrol-wise!!

I don't need to book a display area as such, but if there are a few of us going we could park together with a banner perhaps?

Yes it is a long way to go, especially from the coast. You would need a strong interest in the Vulcan to travel that distance.

Hope Shaz is better soon.

We shall report back on what it was like.
