Nothing as far as i can remember!!!

They said i was following a car less than a car length behind and swerving over the back of it, and they said they were doing over 100mph to catch me!!!

Think they were just pi**ed off that the sun was out and they were working.....so took it out on me!!!

Also said my number plates are illegal....funny that a traffic cop said they were ok at christmas when i got stopped for a breath test!!!

Do they really think i would drive like that with the kids in the car

driving in an anti social manner/without due care

stays on car and driver for 12 months. its a warning really but two in 12 months means you lose your car to the pound.

Was it a video equiped car?

And of course they would have had to go 100mph to catch you, thats just basic physics??

Yeah it did have a camera but theres no way they could of got me, didnt even see them until i turned off the by-pass and there was no way i was going to ask them to see it...i think i would be locked up if i had with the mood they were in.

They even had a moan because i have velcro on my number plates...lol, told them it was for show plates and he just said show plates and laughed. Think he thought i used it for all the bank jobs i do in my spare time!!!

What put my back up is the fact he said he could just give me a warning but he said in his opinion he thought i wouldn't of taken in what he would of said

There are some nice coppers out there but these ones that are on power trips just give them all a bad name!!!

You guys with a section 59, did you get given a ticket or anything???

Just reading up on this and it seems like people are getting tickets for this.

I got no ticket and as far as i know didn't even take any vehicle details....although he did say it was for me and not the vehicle, so if i get stopped again within 12 months whatever vehicle im driving/riding will be seized!!!

Rich, me and another M3 owner on here got one, no ticket, but it is against you, so any vehicle registered to you will alert on a anpr camera. If you get stopped for anything deemed as careless/reckless they can take your car, yet still we watch the things like road wars and scum bags drive smoking gear and get off with roadside warnings, not right.

If you register your car in your wifes name then they cant touch it,I always thought they had to show you the tape of what you have done and it had to be a least 1min long ,but i could be wrong

What other M3 owner would that be Martyn?

I was never given paperwork when I was pulled over for having a quiet amble home one evening with a fellow M3 owner who shall remain "nameless"

In fairness I had 2 fairly good coppers, they could have been a lot worse than they were with me and the nameless one. They took all the details of the cars and did all the checks with us there, but gave us no paperwork.

It's unfortunate that you got a pair of tools that pulled you mate.

As mentioned before, if you feel they are wrong in their judgement then contest it.

I have a feeling I may be due one of these.

Ironic that I had just driven 140 miles not exceeding 80 mph. Had a little blip along a dead section of road & noticed a policeman parked on his bike. Looked at speedo and was a bit past that .
Three weeks ago but have not heard anything yet ??

Mate, they would have been round in force and cuffed you, dragged you off and no doubt basically lobbed the book at you. If it's where I think it was speed wise.

Could I suggest you........... lets say...... edit your post a bit

No point in potential incrimination

Yeah i'm going to accept it but just cant see how they can give these without taking any details or carrying out paperwork.....i would have contested it if the 2 c**ks weren't such tools, whatever i was saying they weren't interested in. Probably just saw a young looking bloke (lol) in a scoob and i got tarred with the same brush as the boy racers!!!

i got flaged down in east grinstead early saturday evening by a new cop on the block!
hello h said as he stuck his head inside the passenger window,"what" i asked?
"just take it easy along here"!i was doing 20 mph off the station roundabout(i never speed ever where i live)
"i wasnt and do never speed"i told him.
"oh its just that it sounded like you were"????????????????????????????????????????????
"is that exhaust 100% legal"?
"no officer,i organise charity tunnel runs in london and was on one last night,i need to change it back"
"ok well heres a ticket to get it done within the next 7 days"
"ok cheers mate","allthough i would like to pop it on every now and again when i organise another event,ok"??
"yea sure, just as long as its not all the time"

i guess he was a semi twat!
but alls well that ends well!and the exhaust had started to grind on me lol!

Correct me if I am wrong,

They have to notify you within 2 weeks if any action is to be taken.
And also give a specific speed.
