As said I'm using it as a shack down and learning the car . More than likely running low power to start with and building up power through the day . Won't go to mad so your all be safe , well safer than the pit board will be with Ian there !

The easiest way to sort out the 2 'difficult' members who want 'morning slots only' is for them to take any 1 morning slot, then the first available afternoon slot.
Otherwise 2 members have to stand around all morning before seeing any track activity.
Unless there are any volunteers.......to sell £££££ their morning slots to HongKongfooi or Scooby_Greg.
C.J or Charlie could exchange one of their morning slot for an afternoon slot, but I'll leave that for HongKongfooi or Scooby_Greg to arrange for themselves.

Unfortunately I have them leave at 12 due to work so will not be able to take a pm slot as initially mentioned. Are they not doing additional noise testing/ familiarisation straight after lunch too? Yes I am difficult but not intentionally! I think Tim is in the same boat.
If anyone is happy to swap their morning slot with a pm one please let me know!

If there isn't a spare morning slot available does anyone want to buy my 2 sessions? Offers taken!

I've asked the question and will let you know. But the package has been sold to 36 entries and I expect most are full day's and not split like ours.
Therefore I doubt they will run extra sign-on / briefings just for a few entries. But as I say I have asked and will report back.

They normally do a quick briefing if poeple can't turn up or miss the morning briefing .
If you go on track days they will normally just have a quick chat .

I propose then that Tim has a morning slot then the 1st available afternoon slot This should be around 13:45 - 14:00, so should be off home around 14:15 latest.

Wagon_si also takes this first afternoon slot and Greg jumps in his earlier one.

cheers

That F40 will be tasty. Wonder if the M3 is the red one that was there last time we had a meet there?! That was pretty quick too.

Message From Organisers

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Welcome from the organisers of the Goodwood Track Day which is due to take place at the historic circuit on Saturday the 13th of April. You will find several documents enclosed which have been provided by Goodwood as the ‘Venue’ to us as the ‘Organisers’. Please take the time to read through, with particular reference to the rules. You will be required to sign the driver’s rules declaration on the Sat morning prior to taking part as will all passengers. Please note the minimum age limit for passengers at the circuit.

Our aim is to put on a safe and fun day on and off the track. The Goodwood team are extremely experienced, as you would imagine, so no question is too stupid on the day. We are aiming to get 6 cars on track for 5 lap sessions which will allow 30 laps per ticket throughout the day. So plan on 3 sessions am and 3 pm. You will be allocated a Grid Number (1 through to 6) at some point prior to going on track. This should be displayed in your vehicle as soon as it is made available to you. Grids will run from 1 through to 6 and then be repeated so it will be easy to keep track of your slot.

Helmets will be required: they will be available for hire on the day if you do not possess one. If you have any doubt about the integrity of your helmet then I suggest that you hire one. A long sleeve top and trousers will also be compulsory.

The programme for the day will be in outline:

Each 'Track Pass' entitles the purchaser to upto 30 laps (predicited) split into 6 sessions of 5 laps.
3 Sessions in the morning and 3 Sessions in the afternoon.

For those of us sharing 'Track Passes' your 2 sessions are expected to be 5-laps each.
With 1 session in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.

I am not sure if the 5-laps include a warm-up / run-down. Fingers crossed it will be 7 laps.

First 3 Grids will be nominated in advance for priority testing. Noise limit is 105db. No refunds.

The one going is mine- not the red one. Track prepped is a bit generous too - there's still lots of work to be done!
