Previously I've not run with one at Brands - it hasn't been an issue before. It is best to have one though so that they can drag you out easily without strapping to something else which may be damaged. Also fair for everyone else so there's no hold ups. Or just make sure you don't go off...

Last time I was there watching my mate a guy was very unhappy as they'd towed his car off track and damaged they front, but he hadn't fitted a towing eye as he was told in the briefing, so it was just tough luck.

Silly as it maybe... is it worth me bringing a kettle, coffee, tea, milk etc for us all for use in the pits or is it not worth it/OTT?

That is entirely up to you.

But I am sure it will be very welcome, just so long as things don't get wasted..

Any idea what time it's all supposed to finish, may head up after work if I get home in time.

Sitting outside a tyre shop waiting for the lazy buggers to turn up, decided not to risk R888's today

If I get home in time and the weather looks ok I'll try and get up and probably bring the boy with me, was going to bring the Scoob to work and head straight there but the weather wasn't looking too good last night so decided to car share instead.

Really wanted to book up for this to run the VX but with work and family issues it was just not possible. Enjoy the day guys, have to book up somehting else before the summer goes. I was thinking about a Saturday at Bedford as that wont mess around with work.

No probs,

It was a good evening,

I certainly took a gamble with the 888s and was certainly surprised how well they work even in those slippery wet conditions, clearways was certainly challenging...

We had a couple of minor incidents but everyone survived with very little or no damage..

It was also good meeting some new peeps and putting faces to names..

I will be giving it a good clean and I might even sort the small matter of having no brakes!
Entering paddock hill bend at 130mph with no brakes at all is not what I expected to happen.
Im ordering pads , lines and fluid ASAP
See u Saturday for more of the same life or death action haha.

i started findiing the limit of my cars setup, i think some 2 piece discs and some geo. tweeks on the suspension. tyres started going off a bit, so i think i must have something not quite right.

will bring an infrared tyre thermometer next time.

Thanks to everyone for coming, great evening of track fun. The weather did its best to spoil it at the start with rivers running across the circuit in many places but thankfully it dried up. It was nice to see such a great turnout of scoobs in all of the sessions

Charlie - glad you avoided much damage when going off at paddock, your 4 wheel drifting out of Clearways right in front of me in the wet was awesome

Thanks for Organizing guys,

Had a brilliant time, will post some of Wanda's snaps up tomorrow.

Really enjoyed the challenge of the changing conditions.
Watching 2 people spin off at Paddock in my rear view mirror at the start of the first taster session was... a little off putting! I think Wanda enjoyed her passenger laps?

I hope you didn't put your Dad off Sam, he seemed to have a big grin on his face

Really good to put faces to some more names

Thanks for organising - it was a fun evening and great to see everyone. A lotus with worn rear semi slicks may not have been the best choice in hindsight but it made it fun with a very fine line between on the limit and over the limit

I should have bought the scoob...

Great evening apart from the half hour monsoon which made it look really tricky for you all. Wish I had taken the wagon on track now so may sneak another evening session before the spa trip.

As always good to catch up with all and sundry

Oh and congrats to the ppp's again

Just a little gravel rash that will get sorted , bought new pads , hoses and 5.1 fluid so no more total loss of all brakes ? Should be on and run in for Saturday
