Default Worzels Latest SLaG Pic

I have been out doing a night shoot on the forest tonight.

Took 3 pictures which took nearly an hour to do.

I haven't had any real time to process them but did a really quick conversion on one of them.

I quite like it

And heres a more heavily edited version:

Thanks Guys

Neons!!!!

I used 3 different flash gels and 2 torches. The red and blue gels were on strobes, a light green was on the SB900 flash gun and then 2 torches were set as one wide beam and one narrow, which I used to "paint" various areas of the car. Done on about a 5 minute exposure.

what are these flash gels that you speak of? They do a pretty cool job of lighting the background

There a brilliant piece of kit but always read the label first!

Got a picture of Steve the first time he used them

I assume he means something like these:
http://flashgels.co.uk/shop/

I had to look them up too

Here is a more edited picture with a cooler white balance (3500k).

I have put it directly below the pic at the top for a comparison.

Which do people prefer?

Thanks for the comments guys.

It's the first time I have tried shooting in total darkness and am fairly happy with the results. I do however know I can do better and can sort out some of the mistakes I made doing this one.

Chunk (or anyone who wants to do it) I would be more than happy to do a shoot as the more I do it the better I'll get at it.

Steve, the Gels are strips of coloured plastic that slot over the front of the flash guns. You can get them from most camera websites. I got mine from warehouse express.

Nice Very arty.! Need to brighten/lighten the rear of the car just a touch IMO. I'm finding it difficult to define the rear of the car from the background content.
