Default British Rallycross Round 2, Lydden Hill - Monday 6th April

The 2015 British Rallycross Championship comes to Lydden Hill for the first time in 2015 on Bank Holiday Monday 6th April.

If you haven't been to Lydden before then its a great circuit to watch as you can pretty much see the whole circuit from any point on the track. Its just down the road from Dover; so to get there is only a quick blast down the M2 or M20 for most South East folk!

Lydden Circuit on Google Maps

Entry is £15 for adults, kids under 12 go free.

Official site for the British Rallycross Championship can be found by clicking here. There isn't an entry list yet, but the first round at Croft had good numbers and more cars are expected at Lydden.

Entry list now online. Good entries in the Supercars and Super Nationals, with some more entries yet to come.

People still seem to be under the impression that all that F1 rubbish is the pinnacle of motorsport.

I'm at the BTCC the day before, which I think also some of the best motor racing you'll see

Lydden is a great day out though

Forgive the double post, but official timetable released by LHMC today:

09:00 - Practice
10:00 - Timed Practice (Supercars only)
10:15 - Heat 1, running order as follows:
- MSA Junior
- Swift Sport
- RX150
- BMW MINI/Hot Hatch
- Super 1600/Super National
- Supercars
11:10 - Heat 2
12:15 - Heat 3
14:00 - Finals

If they stick to that timetable then I reckon it'll all be over by half 3. Of course that is assuming there aren't any delays and someone is bound to stuff a car into a barrier at some point in the day!

I'll be there (if its not raining) and probably get the old fella out of his armchair to tag along.

Is their 1 hour lunch break factored into that schedule? Could be between 12.15 and 14.00?

Based on the timetable I'd expect it between 13:20ish and 14:00. Sure that will go out the window if there are any incidents in the morning though!

Now that Goodwood is out the window I'm heading down to Lydden with the boy, hopefully make an early start and will even blow the cobwebs out of the Scoob for the journey down.

I'm going but won't be leaving early, as racing goes right up to the late afternoon superfinal, which is the one to stay for.
So no need to rush to get stuck in a queue on the A2.

I will probably get there for 11 ish
