Default Airbourne Pics

As per the title, some Airbourne Pics from Sunday.

Took me ages to work out why some weren't very clear (Red Arrows mainly), then it dawned on me that because they all had to do low displays, they were flying backwards and forwards through the smoke they had previously laid down. As you will see especially in the Red Arrows pics.

There are loads to be done, and if I get some time again (yeh right ) I will get some more posted.

Now thats what i call detail, cant beleive how crisp they are, to think even the prop planes were going at over 200mph.

Patriotism flowed all over you that day it seems!

I saw it over the spot in eastbourne where one crashed in ww2, almost had a tear in my eye

Got to agree mate, you sounded almost pissed off that it flew so low over you

Like most others, it would have drawn a salute and a stiffy from me!

No not at all guys it just shocked me it was so low, one minute it was there then it just vanished over some trees and i didn't see it rise up again. I absolutely love the lanc, my grandad flew one in WW2, 207 squadron EM'V. He flew over his quote of missions that he had to do and on one particular raid he flew back holding one of the front windows in with just his bare hands. I always remember them being purple when he was around, must of suffered a little frost bite.

He was made of "the right stuff", that's for sure! And pretty lucky to survive all that!
