Thumbs up Charity Brighton Run Saturday 21st June – Leaving Pease Pottage services 8.30am

Charity Brighton Run Saturday 21st June – Leaving Pease Pottage services 8.30am

Just to let you guys / girls know on here, that ESC is doing a Charity Brighton Run being held on Saturday 21st June.

Lee Rowley is hosting this event on Facebook, all proceeds being taken for stickers / maps will be going towards Lee’s friend ( Katie ) Great Ormond Street Hospital Race for Kids fund.

Below is copied text from the Facebook event - http://www.facebook.com/events/616311201773292

We will be raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital - a very good friend of mine is taking part in GOSH's Race for the Kids; her brother was a patient there as a toddler, and later returned to work there as a volunteer, so the cause and the fantastic work they do is particularly meaningful to her. Read her story here:- http://events.gosh.org/goto/katiemariesims

The start point is the Lower Rose Gallery, Bluewater DA9 9SA - the ground level car park right outside John Lewis. We will depart here at 0730hrs sharp.
Regroup / secondary meeting point is Pease Pottage services, Crawley RH11 9YA. Our ETA here will be 0815hrs, for a prompt 0830hrs departure to Brighton.

It'll be £5 for a car sticker and copy of routes/overview maps which should be paid to me on the day. You are of course free to donate more if you wish (either via the website above or on the day).

Plan of events :-
In brief, the plan will be as follows:-
Meet at Bluewater, ready for a 0730hrs departure
Regroup at Pease Pottage services
Head to Brighton via the Devil's Dyke valley
Arrive in Brighton approx. 0930hrs
Spend the day as you please
Regroup approx. 1500-1600hrs for the return journey
**optional surprise scenic B-road blast after leaving Brighton, to be announced on the day**
Arrive Bluewater approx. 1700-1800hrs (or directly home if you choose) to regroup and compare stories / sunburn.
On the day, there will be one of each of the following available for everyone on the "going" list:-
Car sticker
Copy of the full plan
Copy overview maps (including additional parking in Brighton)
So if you are planning to attend, please ensure you are not still on the "maybe" or "invited" lists. Let's see how many we can get together for this
