Default Datsun had a hole

Hello all,

Well the old tin worm was starting to set in on my old datsun.

But only on the sills and boomerang surports

Nissan had decided to place the sill vents in the rear arches, (welldone nissan) so they rusted inside out.

Other than the sills the rest of the car is in very good condition.

Myself and Jason have been working on the car nearly every Sunday since Christmas.

I found a person who was completely rebuilding a s14a and made a copy of nissan sills and rear quarter repair panels.

Watch this space, work in progress.......

Nice work, things are coming along well. So rewarding seeing clean, fresh, rust free body panels and paints.

Today's update,

The old girl has just been MOTed and they are amazed with the job we have done.

As good as new on the sills now.

Hope to do the paint and underseal in the next coupe of weeks.

Update

I painted the sills myself as the guy I use is still painting cars booked in 2 years ago.

So I wanted the car ready for Germany.
Im happy with the results, there is a slight difference in colour due to age of car.

I've also removed and repainted the underseal in the areas the car needed it.
Just have diff oil cooler to refit, and driver seat runner and good to go. DSC_1564.jpgDSC_1581.jpgDSC_1571.jpgDSC_1563.jpgDSC_1576.jpg

Well what can I say,
other than the colour match, that was the only issue
But still I'm very happy with the outcome the old girl is ready for another year in Germany.
