Indeed, it was in the local paper last week. Looking forward to it, just a shame it can't bomb the pier.

It's an amazing sight - May try to pop down as the flying time left may now be limited

Nice one.

I didn't see it at all last year, so keen to remedy that this summer!

Where's the best place to view Scott?

Going to see it at Manston the following weekend as well, where it is landing/taking off as well as displaying!! That's an awesome experience as well if you haven't seen it!

Either the East Hill or West Hill (by the castle).
Park in the main town car park and walk up through Wellington square.

I was up on the East Hill when the Red Arrows came last summer and got a great view.

Excellent too Sim. We were here on the front, so this was the closest shot I could get of Beachy Head

Another special moment at Eastbourne!

Reminder. ...Please donate what you can to keep her flying.

For anyone coming down to the seafront the best ice creams are from the crazy golf kiosk and the best fish and chips are from the blue dolphin.
If you just want a cake or sausage roll then judges bakery up the high street in the old town opposite the Church.
I will be up by the castle from around 3pm.

No way, Di Polas has amazing ice creams, not the cheapest but by god they're good.

I'll be down there somewhere giving the new camera it's first airing. Fingers crossed for the weather.

I agree, but I was thinking more of your traditional '99 with flake' as they give a good thick serving rather then the small runny ones from the Mr Whippy Red van's.

The big bird is also displaying in Rye at 4:00pm.
I'm not sure what to do now.....if you go upto Fairlight you would get 2 displays !!!!!! one to the west and one to the east..........

Oh! I so want to be in 2 places....A scoob is quick but not sure it can race a Vulcan to Rye once the display finishes in Hastings.....

If you wish I will pay the admission charge and watch from inside the castle..

Which means you can see best part of the sea front.

Found this quote on the VTTS forum.

"She will be flying between the Harbour and Pier at Hastings!

A RNLI friend who's manning the inshore Boat for the event reliably informs me!"

I assume by harbour he means the fishing boats.

Will look out for you Boys!!

Thanks for the offer "E" but I want to try and grab a picture of her over the old town fishing hut's/boats not over the new town with the crappy money pit of a pier in the background.........now if it were bombing the pier that would be a nice photo !!!!!

The view last year for the Red Arrows was spot on from the west hill as they flew in down The Bourne.

I expect the Vulcan will come in under the cliff line from the east.....

Cheers for the update too Keith....

Agree, I'm a little surprised it displayed and doing the 'Wing-Over' manoeuvre in those conditions must of been on the limit with 45 mph gusting. It was hard enough to stand up on the cliff-top and made for very tricky conditions for photography.

Photo's are uploading and will pop them up in a mo'.

Great pics! Some more in "General Pics"

The revised display for 2013, including the new spiral climb, was excellent. Lots more power noise!!! Kev Rumens (pilot) produced a fabbo display as Scott says, in difficult conditions indeed! Having seen that display today, now very much looking fwd to next saturday at Manston
