Default I phone 3g techie help.?

Got a problem with my missues i phone 3g. I've jailbroke it and maybe foolishly upgraded baseband to 6.15 to unlock it. Everything works and even see's a signal, but won't make or receive calls.

Wifi works, as does cydia etc. Just won't work as a phone, so currently only good as a I pod touch / Ipod music player at the moment.

Any phone techie's out there that can help or suggest anything that I probably haven't already tried ?.

Its currently running firmware 4.2.1 and ipad modem baseband 6.15.0.

I'm Very close to selling the phone to Mazooma for £54 at the moment unless I can fix it.

Cheers

Was you originally on baseband 6.15 ?. I've googled allot and there just doesn't seem to be a way to downgrade the baseband once your on 6.15.

The problem you describe is exactly the same as mine, signal and carrier recognized just doesn't work.

Local market type phone boys in Hastings aren't insterested or very helpfull

Looks like I might have to treat the missus to a nice day of shopping in Brighton.

The phone was my sons, was already jail broken and unlocked about 2 years ago, he was getting fed up with not being able to use loads of apps as they required later software version, so i updated and jailbroke again, made same mistake as you with baseband, could not sort it, no matter what i tried .
Take it to the pros mate
