Default How do I clean this?

Wife has just got a Mini Countryman and it has these silver trims between the wings and doors. They're a Matt finish silver plastic but have what looks like water marks on them but obviously not as they don't wash out with the usual cleaning products, any ideas on the best thing to try cleaning it with?

Have you tried Autoglym bumper and trim gel cleaner or a clay bar .

It's expensive but the only thing I have found works is Swissvax plastic wash.

A general all purpose cleaner will remove any water spots, but if it’s chemical residue (where someone has cleaned it with something that’s etched into the plastic) then bit more thought needed...

Think it's left over from something else, contemplating popping them off and attempting a matt black wrap at the moment.
