Like Nige said, we were supposed to have rubbish weather on at least one day while we were there. Every day turned out to be 26 degrees and wall to wall sunshine, happy days and all that.

In the end it was perfect, track open virtually every moment of it allotted times apart from 1 accident. The track was pretty much empty too, with everyone getting really good clear runs. And I got to take 2400 photo's.

I'm getting a bit obsessive now. Have checked the forecast 3 times so far today and it has changed each time. I'm going to stop looking now and just pack for every contingency -shorts, sunglasses, gloves,thermals... If we get good weather it will just be a bonus.

Bother!

My 'free' RAC cover with Barclays covers repatriation yay! But only on cars UP to 11 years old, mines 11 years 20 days! Be calling ADAC tomorrow I think!

if you don't get through, keep calling. Barbera rang back and left a message at around lunchtime and when I called back later she sorted everything out for me.

They take payment by Visa or MasterCard and takes about 3 hours to get membership numbers through, you are covered from Midnight,

and I have peace and quiet, lovely new Milltek back box. Bit too quiet, but lovely compared to the H&S combination I just took off. Definitly a motorway exhaust for long trips now.

New ARB fitting tomorrow and I think I am pretty well ready. At last. phew!

Good job mate

Glad you got the exhaust sorted, quiet isn't a bad thing if you want to do more trackdays

Nice one Simon! I'm getting worried as I haven't even thought about packing yet and not back until late tomorrow. Still have to work out how to get the 888s in as I decided to travel down on the crappy wheels - looks like seats out and back in again once I've got them in the back.

Can't wait now though...

get yourself two harness point bolts , swop them for the bolts holding the seat belt points that are over the rear wheel arches . then just strap though the centres of all your alloys from one sidw to the other

That's what I've done - although need to get a seat out now so I can get the wheels in. Hope it's going to be worth it as I'm not convinced that the 888s will make it on the car!

R888's were quite scary on the way home the other week... I was drifting while driving in a straight line

I've got a couple of long straps I use to hold the bikes on the car rack, let me know if you want them.

Might be able to do similar to CJ's idea but go through the iso fix points to save having to get eye bolts in time.
