thanks i painted all the wheels today , it has come up really well considering it was a rattle can , well 6 off them lol , i will be honest , im on a budget with this car and im trying to do everything my self , next will be the roof as it had a sticker on there and when it came off it took the top layer of paint off so it needs to be sanded down and im getting it primered and then a black vynal roof is going on ,.
hope you like , oh and doing this all with 6 slipped disc's and a spinal deseze lol , oh and really bad spelling lmao

You had white wheels on Saturday!

I believe you may be suffering from 'Black-my-ride-itus’. A condition where one feels the need to paint everything black. We have a couple of suffers in the Sqn, so you’re not alone.

The condition is a symptom of Wagonism. There is no cure I’m afraid and all you can do is get on that ‘Wagon’ wagon and hold on tight. Some suffers get relief from dressing up in silly uniforms and having their pictures taken, but they never admit to it

PS. Where were you going at 08:41 this morning heading flight level Ashington/Thakeham? I have my sources before you ask.

Thumbs up

I say… ‘Red Baron’ …what! Dudley here.

The boys at MI555 think you may be suffering from 'Black-my-ride-itus’. A condition where one feels the need to paint everything black. There’s a couple of suffers in the Sqn, so you’re not alone.

Just for your information our ‘Wagon High Amplitude Tracking’ (or WHAT for short) picked up your wagon at 08:41 this morning travelling in an easterly direction. Heading Bravo two-er one-er three-er three-er Broadford Bridge descending Harbolets Road.

These details will be fed into our ‘Super Computer’ which will give us absolutely nothing back.

PMSL at all this!!!

Wonderful stuff Dud !!!!!!!!!!!

My sources tell me, Dud, that you may be getting a visit from Air Commodore Sir Charles Compostable-Punnet very soon.

He has a keen interest in black, and I know that he likes his crumpets lightly buttered on one side only.

During the course of his visit, he will be surrounded by armed guards who chew toffees!

Did the grill have to be modified to fit the pre-facelift bonnet?

I've got facelift lights and pre-facelift bonnet. Would like to get the facelift grill again

no not really to be honest , hard way is to make up some mounting brackets to support top off grill or easy way is to cable tie lol , more than welcome to pop and have a look if yo wish

small vent looks sooooo much better also keeping it red is a good thing too.

Would try as above, cutting it back and seeing how you get on, if not just cover with vinyl as you first suggested, black would be a good option. You seem fairly good with a tin of paint, why not give it a go yourself, keying the roof up may flatten it all off ok.

Now the question is, would the lower rear spoiler look good in black too?

you'll have to keep it with all the work your putting in

can you catch the scratches with your fingernail? if you can they might be able to be taken out with some wetsanding depending on how deep it is but it also could be a respray, if you cant, then it should be able to be buffed out by a machine polisher, just a thought

yes you can catch your nail all over the area , its really hard to expalin , i think it was the laquer that got pealed off with a little off the paint ,
a machine polisher wouldnt even touch it , unless it had a sanding disc attached lol ,
