Default Bov delete

Now don't shoot me for asking this question
but can the td series of turbos run/cope with a bov delete?

As I've read many conflicting views on the web,
Some say the tds can/can't..some say the vf series can/can't.

I know the noise is caused buy the air flowing back threw/stalling the turbo.and probly won't be good for the turbo long term.
Iam just curious..that's all.
