Default New age rear breaks are a nightmare to bleed

I've just fitted a set of new front callipers to my 2005 wrx and thought I'd fulsh my fluid at the same time all the breaks seem to be bleeding fine except the passenger side rear if depress the pedel and crack off the nipple u get a good squirt of fluid but after locking the nipple off then lifting the pedal the pedal goes almost to the floor and u have to pump it for ages to get the pedal to firm up again also when driving one minute the break pedal works as soon as u push it but then it travels half way before u get any breaking then after a while it rises again anyone had this problem before ?

Did you push the pedal all the way to the floor when you bled it, as someone pointed out to me the other day, the plunger in the master cylinder usually only moves a small amount, this can allow muck and dirt to build up in the unused bit, suddenly pushing it the whole way can damage the seals if there is any rust etc. Not saying this is the case but it was something I had never considered before.
The other thing is, and I'm only saying this because I don't know if you're a first time brake changer or a seasoned professional and I've seen it done before so not out to offend, you have put the front calipers on the right sides with bleed nipples at the top?

Yeah there on the right sides lol any yeah I pushed the pedal all the way to the floor

i have an eesibleed kit if you want me to come try see if it helps ?

i struggled for weeks trying to get a decent pedal on the shogun ,, the eesibleed makes it easy tbh

eventually i found rear inner pads were badly worn down ,, onnce i replaced them the pedal became perfect so most likely i was chasing air that was never there

also i doubt they have a bias valve on a scoob as theyre usually on vans and 4x4 etc but if there is one it usually also has a bleed nippple

I've got a VAC bleeder at work but it won't draw the fluid through its as if there's a blockage somewhere

hmm odd , flexis didnt get twisted or kinked when doing the calipers ?

have you had the rear calipers off to check pads ?

All sorted now had to gravity bleed it for a good 30 mins or so but got there in the end what a difference the new callipers have made it breaks so much better now thanks Scooby doo
