Default Sierra Cosworth 10.2 Ltr V8

Hev & I have just returned from spending the weekend at my mates (SleeperSy's)'

Some of you may remember his 725 bhp Classic Impreza that he stripped & sold last year.

Latest toy is a Cosworth Sierra for the strip running a 632 cubic inch (10.2 Ltr V8).

NOS will be introduced to the car this year and it will remain street legal.

No doubt I will be spending much time with Sy on the strip as before with his Classic.

Currently running a whisker under 1000 bhp but with the NOS will be a lot more

Short vid of the car recently taken

Looks like it'll be interesting to try and keep in a straight line!

The shell was bought as a Cosworth but is subject to many mods.

Mounted on tubular chassis.

Hurst shifter - 3 speed with torque convertor.

Engine is a 632ci Shafiroff Top Sportsman 1060hp Big Block Chevy

Same motor in this

You are correct it will be an effort to keep in a straight line but that is the buzz.
Driving a car down the strip just sitting there is boring really. If the thing needs driver input to keep in a straight line its a lot more involved and you gain a sense of achievement making a good run.

I drove his 725 bhp Impreza many times down the strip and that was loose over the line in 4th but the last 5 or 6 times at The Pod the car had issues.

It was then I suggested to Sy about ditching the Impreza and going big cc's with a proper V8 and do it properly and that's what he has now done.

If the car is still in one piece, give it 3 - 5 years it will be rapid and hopefully up there with the best of them.

Dont forget the video is with the engine in stock trim as it came out the box.

The motor is a proper piece of high end kit with huge potential. !
