Default Silverstone Classic

Had a great day there on Sunday. Compared with past years the crowd was well down, not surprising I guess given the recent weather and price of admission.

Car-wise, the standards were high as usual, including the car parks!

I follow the Group C and WSM cars like these Group C

and my mates Nissan

Even had one of these lurking in the paddock

All that and sun too

I made it to this too for the weekend, was great except the unplanned camping!!

I went with my cousin and our lift from the gate into the show was in her friends F40 (it was the one out of line in the display as he parked it there saturday morning then didn't go back to it until the parade lap!)...turns out you can fit three people in an F40!!
She was lucky enough to be the passenger in the parade lap, I managed to blag my way into the pit lane where the sound was immense?!
Heres a few not so great phone pics:

And one of my friends "pit bike":

I heard some say 60 some say 70...I lost count?!

it does make them look a bit common doesn't it!

I'll check my photos out and look for an orange mazda, but my photography skills with the racing cars wasn't great...I got a lot of great shots of an empty track though

I counted over 60 in the car park, and they all seemed to be subtly different. I was lucky enough to have a ride in my mate's F40 a few years ago, and it was quite an experience. He didn't take his, but his brother was there in his.

CJ - I saw the car, and it was going well, but I tend not to take action pics, so I'm afraid I have none.

Maybe we should have a convoy there next year?
