Default new 2 scoobies

hi guys, got my first scooby 2 months ago.
jap Import classic WRX (Pre-facelift) with some RA stuff on it.
lov ethe pre-facelift look and dont plan on changing the bonnet/grille/bumper for the facelift jobbies:-

It has an STI bottom end, UK spec gearbox & rear diff, bonnet is the RA one and i think maybe the doors to as they are realy light.

the gearbox just died though so i'm ordering my replacement tomorrow and should have the car up and running again in a few weeks, which i realy need cuz this is my daily transport to and from work !!
after that its time for a FMIC next month as i spend a fair bit of time in traffic and I dont want to fall foul of TMIC heat soak from the turbo

I've deffinately got the GC8 bug !!

Almost forgot. firsth thing I did when i left school was train as a mechanic, although I never did part 3. so i know a bit of mechanics. rebuilt the gearbox on my first car (a 1974 Triumph Spitfire) learned to use a gasless mig welder n changed 80% of the body shell.
The impreza is a little more advanced than what i'vbe worked on before, but i;m working it all out !

Did you order a WRX gearbox this time as the gear ratios are different, and it will make the car a bit quicker

Some people put the UK 5th gear in the WRX box which makes it better for UK motorways as you wont be revving the nuts out of it at 70mph

Cheers for the idea, but not realy worth me doing that. I use the car to commute to/from work and the fastest bit of road on my daily trip is 50mph.
Apart from my yearly holiday in the UK, i dont go on motorways
