Default Prodrive mapping

Hi guys and girls,

This has probably been covered before if so sorry lol.

I'm thinking of getting the Scoob mapped.
I have read all sorts on the net good and bad.

The car is 2005 wrx sti with the ppp
It has a cat back vortex exhaust and a panel filter

The goal is a little extra power and economy

A. Is it worth pushing it further with a map as I know the prodrive version is from the factory.
B.can any recommend someone to do it for me

Thanks gang
Simon

If you've already got the PPP map then it'll be around 295-300bhp already and have a sports cat on it (they rarely make the 305bhp Prodrive claimed). With a custom map, I think you'll probably see 330-335. Doubt you'll get any noticeable economy improvement but scoobs aren't about economy!

In terms of getting it done, speak to Rich (FB Tuning) or Duncan (Race Dynamix). Both should have their details in the Recommended Services section of the forum if you can't find them online

Hello Si,I started with the PPP map on my STI like yourself the prodrive map runs quite rich and when my car got a ecutek map by Paul B he said the fuel economy will improve my first map ran around 345bhp on a VF35 o.e turbo and just changing to a 3" inch exhaust fpr and colder plugs all on the STI standard top mount,it drove really nice at that power level.SJ.

Duncan has taken over from simon mapping mine and haven't had any issues .
Duncan can normally be found at Surrey rolling road once or twice a week which is 45mins from Horsham. Otherwise you have FB which is 1&1/2 hour trip and I'm sure either will do you good service.

I got an 04 wrx sti with sports cat, panel filter, pfr7 plugs and uprated fuel pump running 330bhp mine was mapped by Duncan.

Worth doing if you want to spend the money mine wasn't a PPP but made such a difference drives lovely and goes very well
