havent got any myself but first option is what budget u have - second I would go by what look u want - lowered, or just updated spring stiffness...
BC coilovers seem popular as do teins.. Sorry can't be more help.. Sure 555_Si or ginola and Steve or C.J be able to help more

Usually the more money you pay the better they will be, my Teins super streets were nice for fast road and light track usage, Ginola stein flex or whatever they are seemed more compliant for road even though they are more track orientated.
I have BC's on the project car, can't comment on what they are like to use as it's not built, but quality looks up there with Tein on the outside. If you want really good stuff, then I have KW v3's on the golf, these are in a different league to the other stuff, then if got even deeper pockets, and I mean deep pockets, look at Ohlins, these are bordering on ultimate. If you want just a flexible setup to adjust height for road use, then BC's look good value for money and a lot of people run them, or Teins. |

I run BC's on the bug, excellent track and bearable road, if it's a daily driver or even just a regular fast road car I'd personally go for quality dampers and springs which is what I'll be doing if the BC's ever need replacing!
Thin Im getting old but the Impreza is horrible to drive compared to the spec B!

Yeah also bear in mind that my car only got used very very occasionally, plus I am quite used to race cars and stuff, so I could take harsh rides without too much issue. I agree totally with bluebugeye. You can easily ruin a car if you don't put thought into the mods you are doing.
If you want just a small drop then some quality springs with some quality adjustable shocks would be a good choice. Cool overs belong on slammed or track cars really. My Passat has AP coil overs on it, and wow, did I ruin that car. |

Those billsteins look great, good quality etc.
Been down this whole debate/dilemma before. I think for some Meister R, BC, etc. seem to be good for a bit depending. But I wanted something that would be good on and off the track, and thought more long term. Luckily I snagged a set of KW V1's with less than 500 miles on them...bargain. Put some whiteline c-max top mounts etc on them and they are really quite good. Glad I went with something quality to be honest. Buy something barely used like the link above or wait until you can find something/afford new. |
